When the problem isn't the temperature. It's the environment.
Flamingo Land was experiencing significant moisture build-up within its leisure facilities, with condensation contributing to mould developing across ceilings and walls.
The challenge wasn't simply removing moisture from one room.
Warm, humid air from the pool environment was migrating into cooler adjoining spaces, including the changing facilities. As that moisture-laden air met colder surfaces, it created the conditions for condensation and mould growth.
Precise needed to understand how air was moving through the entire environment before designing the solution.
The Challenge

The Thinking
Control the movement of air, not just the symptoms.
The facility contained several environments operating under very different conditions:
POOL HALL
High humidity and temperature
CHANGING ROOMS
Comfortable, controlled environment
GYM
High occupancy and ventilation demand
CAFÉ
Public-facing comfort
ENTRANCE
Constant changes in external airflow
Treating each area independently wouldn't address the underlying issue.
Precise calculated the required air volumes across the different zones and designed the system around controlled pressure relationships.
The principle was simple:
By maintaining positive pressure within the changing facilities and negative pressure within the pool hall, the system was designed to restrict humid pool air from migrating into the adjoining spaces.

The solution:
A multi-zone approach to environmental control.
Rather than treating the visible condensation alone, Precise developed a solution addressing ventilation, heat recovery, airflow direction and pressure balancing throughout the facility.
The installation included:
04
Heat recovery systems supporting the changing facilities and gym
02
HR500 systems serving the café and main entrance*
MULTI-ZONE
Pressure balancing across interconnected environments
AIRFLOW
Pool grille modifications to better control the direction of fresh air
SEPARATION
An air-lock threshold introduced at the pool hall
ENGINEERED AS ONE SYSTEM

The result:
From recurring moisture problems to controlled environmental performance.
The completed system addressed the movement of warm, moisture-laden air between the pool and adjoining areas, improving control over the conditions that had been contributing to condensation and mould.
01 - MOISTURE CONTROL
Reduced unwanted moisture transfer between environments.
02 - AIRFLOW CONTROL
Established the intended positive and negative pressure relationships between key zones.
03 - ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
Improved conditions across the changing and adjoining facilities.
04 - ENERGY RECOVERY
Heat recovery incorporated into the ventilation strategy to recover thermal energy from extracted air.
05 - LONG-TERM APPROACH
A solution designed around the underlying environmental cause rather than repeatedly treating the visible symptoms.

Precision in Practice
Complex environments require more than off-the-shelf thinking.
For commercial climate-control projects, the equipment is only one part of the solution.
Understanding occupancy, airflow, humidity, pressure, building use and how different spaces interact is what allows the right system to be designed in the first place.
That's the approach Precise brought to Flamingo Land — understand the environment, identify the cause and engineer the solution around it.
